Start small, but make wise choices on what you are willing to release and sell, in order to make some fast cash. You may find that you are able to put together a pile of stuff that you don't really care about, and can let go of, without too much anguish. But in all honesty, if you think about it, the stuff you own, that you really like to keep, are usually the things that are the faster sells. If you think something is cool, there's a good chance that most other people do too...
There are a variety of tasks that you may be asked to perform. This can include delivering documents, delivering food or restaurant meals, taking pictures of a building for a real estate developer, taking pictures of a menu in an upscale restaurant, or even delivering auto-parts. If you have a good working car (or even a good bicycle), time on your hands, and a lot of energy, this can be a real opportunity to make money online.
Love dogs, but not ready to get one of your own? Get your fix by taking care of other people’s pooches — and get paid for it. If your home isn’t dog-friendly, consider becoming a dog walker. Apps like Wag! offer on-demand dog walking, so you can pick up walks when your schedule allows. If you have space (and your landlord’s permission, if you rent), offer overnight dog boarding. Dog sitters on Rover.com, the go-to site for pet-sitting, generally command $25 to $35 a night, according to the company.
A PayScale survey lists the median mid-career pay at Google, Salesforce.com and Yahoo as $158,000, $150,000 and $141,000, respectively. LinkedIn, Microsoft, Adobe and a host of other tech companies were close behind. That’s across their entire workforce. And it doesn’t include equity that can sometimes dwarf cash compensation at tech companies. As a veteran of the tech industry, I can certainly attest to that.
