17. Amazon – Have you heard of FBA? It stands for “Fulfilled by Amazon” and it’s getting pretty popular. Basically, you buy products (in bulk is best) and ship them to Amazon for them to store. When your products sell, Amazon packs them up, ships them out and sends you the money (after taking their cut). There are people making a full-time living from FBA, while others just do it for some extra money.
If you’ve got a way with words and expertise in a niche, there are plenty of sites that will pay for articles and content you write. Think of the sites you read regularly. What can you contribute to them that would be interesting? Research your niche and then look for ways to pitch articles. Many sites will simply have a submission or contact link in the footer. 19. eBay – Of course you can’t read an article about making money online that doesn’t mention eBay. You can start an eBay store and get serious about it or you can just sell some stuff to declutter your home. Either way, I’ve made my fair share from selling on eBay and it’s still a popular way to earn money. If you decide to start an actual eBay store, you’ll want to find a drop-ship business like Doba that will store and ship items straight to your customers so you don’t have to deal with an inventory.
To be honest, I know nothing about the EU or the UK. as an affiliate you are simply an independent contractor, here in the United States we get a tax form called a 1099 that reports our earnings and we have to self report all earnings and pay taxes on our own. I usually expect 30% to 40% of my income will be taxed and that is a conservative estimate so I don't underestimate. Best to find someone more familiar with Europe, the UK and your specific position to give you specific guidance… With that said remember, the only time you deal with taxes is if you're making money. If you don't have a website built, you don't have an audience growing, you don't have dozens if not hundreds of posts published… You are very far away from earning money and a thought about a future challenge that is not real yet is holding you back from getting started. Thank you for all the information. I currently work in a tax and accounting office but want a change. I love the payroll and accounting side of my job but don’t like tax season. It’s high stress and I am not getting the training to get better at tax preparation. I’m 55 and have worked here for 9 years. I also feel like my earning potential will not increase. I really want a remote job. I have the skills and discipline to work independently. Can you point me in the right direction? I’m very good with Quickbooks and Excel. Some of the postings ask for Quickbooks online. I do use it some but wonder if I should get certified. Oh, I also like to crochet and make things. Any suggestions for selling handmade items.

Transcription is one of my part time jobs. I can do it conveniently from home and many of the clients are trainers or speakers. Having money and needing transcription services doesn’t imply you have a secretary. At my full time job the closest we have to a secretary is the CEO’s assistant. She books flights, plans travel, schedules meetings, transports his children, and helps with home renovations. She doesn’t have the time to sit and transcribe work when the CEO can send it to a company or freelance agent for a few dollars.
